Is laminate or LVP better for my home?
LVP is waterproof and the better pick for kitchens, baths, laundry rooms and homes with pets. Laminate has a harder, more scratch-resistant surface and a very realistic wood look, and it is often a little less expensive — a great choice for living rooms, bedrooms and offices.
Can laminate be installed over concrete?
Yes. Laminate floats over concrete with a moisture barrier underlayment. We check the slab for moisture and flatness first and level it where needed.
How long does laminate installation take?
Most rooms take one day. A full main living area typically takes 2–3 days including removal and prep.
Is laminate waterproof?
Standard laminate is not waterproof; many newer laminates are water-resistant for a set period of time. For wet areas we usually recommend waterproof LVP or tile instead.
